Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

On Ubuntu Netbook (Maverick) installed on a Lenovo S10, horizontal
scrolling does not work from the touchpad, even if it is enabled in the
Mouse settings, under the Touchpad tab. This is a regression from
previous versions, in which it worked perfectly.

Since it works perfectly on another laptop running Ubuntu Desktop 10.10,
I am blaming Unity for it.
