Good morning. I installed Ubuntu 4.10 on a Toshiba Satellite A80. I tried
several versions of hplip (the last is that I installed the 3.10.6) but when I
try to send a fax directly from computer, hp-toolbox or by clicking on send
fax, add up and choosing a file format created in the first . ps, or by
choosing the queue from Open Office fax (file - print - HP_Laserjet_3055_fax),
I get after a certain number of items, the following error message (by starting
the program from the terminal), 'ERROR: dbus.connection : Unable to Set
arguments ('hpfax: / net/HP_LaserJet_3055? ip = 192.168.1.4', 'Andrea', None)

message.append (signature = signature, * args) TypeError: Do not know how
D-Bus Which type to use to encode type 'NoneType' After a while the problem
resolves itself, then comes back again. I use the correct printer through the
LAN cable (before I used a USB connection and I was asked to proceed in this
way just to avoid the problem, which instead has come back) and I created a
bridge between the physical network interface (eth0 ) and a wireless network
(eth1). My HP_Laserjet_3055 One is a series. Let me know if you can prevent
recurrence of the problem and how. Thank you very much. Andrea Marengoni
