I have done additional tests on a virtual machine: Test 1 (1) install ubuntu 10.10 (from scratch) (2) install vmware-server-console 1.0.10 (3) upgrade ubuntu ==> I can see the problem
Test 2 (1) install Ubuntu 10.10 (from scratch) (2) upgrade ubuntu (vmware-server-console has never been on this system before) (3) install vmware-server-console 1.0.10 ==> it works so the upgrade causes the problem, changing something that even uninstall/reinstall of vmware-server-console can fix. Any suggestion ?
