Binary package hint: alsa-base Analog sound OK. (Was OK) Digital sound (s/pdif) not OK. Tried this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1046137&highlight=spdif+jaunty No luck. Not able to complete. Then tried to install "SoundMax ADI1988 Audio Linux Driver" from ASUS. No luck. Not able to complete. Now all i have is output to "Dummy Output" , "stereo".
