Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ebox-usersandgroups

I've been running hardy with ebox 1.5 ppa. Then I decided to upgrade to lucid,
so the ubuntu upgrade manager disabled the ppa.
Since this is a ebox 1.5 => ebox 1.5 transition, I've not expected any
problems. Though, the ebox configuration script asked me to delete all ldap
data. So I canceled the upgrade.

Later on, another administrator wanted to reinstall ebox. Sadly, he
didn't choose carefully when he was asked to delete all ldap data, and
agreed. We then tried to recover the old ldap database, only to discover
then that ebox actually deleted it instead if just renaming or creating
an backup before (though we should have done this too, sure).

I would expect ebox to
 - allow a clean upgrade from hardy ebox 1.5 ppa to lucid without ppa (e.g.
without data loss),
 - create a backup from the files to be erased (e.g. by just renaming them or
putting a tgz into /var/backups).

The latter is just for convenience, but it is a very useful convenience
that is also provided by debconf when editing config files.

** Affects: ebox-usersandgroups (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
