Binary package hint: cups
I am printing to a Sharp AR-207 Digital copier. Printing on 9.10 works
with no problems. When trying out the 10.4.1 and 10.10 CDs I might be
able to print on about 1 out of every 10 reboots (installing the sharp
driver each time).
I have now installed 10.10 dual booting with 9.10. When it doesn't print
I go into Printing and click on the printer icon, change the make and
model to generic pcl6/pcl xl printer. Then print a test page. 14"
paper comes out with test off center. Not usable, but it prints.
I then go back and change to the correct printer driver using the new
ppd option. All is well till the next reboot
