Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager
I recently changed the password of my WLAN. Booted up my Dell Latitude
2110 netbook and it automatically tried to connect with the old
password. Then when password dialog came up, I entered the correct new
password and after a while it comes up again with the dialog. Even
disconnecting and reconnecting does not help.
Only when disabling wireless network (through right mousebutton on
network-manager icon) and re-enabling again, a re-connection attempt is
successful (of course asking again for the password).
So the only workaround is:
1. Right-click on network-manager icon
2. Remove checkmark in front of "Enable Wireless"
3. Right-click on network-manager icon
4. Set checkmark in front of "Enable Wireless" again
5. Left-click on network-manager icon
6. Select desired WLAN from the list of available networks
7. Wait for password dialog
8. Enter (new) password
