The way I would see the interface behaving (to mimick a hardware player) is as follows;
View > Show Subtitles = Unchecked mplayer dvd:// -slang en -showforcedsubsonly View > Show Subtitles = Checked mplayer dvd:// -slang en Preferences could contain an option to disable forced subs but I can't see any use for it. I'm fairly sure you can't disable forced subs in most hardware players. On a related note the forced subs option doesn't seem to work (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- mplayer/+bug/660688) but it should be possible to pass the forced subs in gnome-mplayers preferences under the mplayer extra options but it's hardly ideal. -- Gnome-mplayer should default to displaying forced subtitles https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
