Hi, Firstly I am using Ubuntu 10.10 (64bit version) with a 'Athlon AMD
64 Processor. I am using the Avant window Navigator. When I try to
access the 'Downloads folder via, Main menu/Places/downloads, I get The
Appearances Menu box with the Error message "There was an error
Installing selected file..... Downloads does not appear to be a valid
Theme" I seem to have got over the immediate problem by accessing "Avant
Applet 'FILE BROWSER LAUNCHER' preferences. and unchecking 'system
Default' and checking 'Nautilus'. But the problem still exists when
trying to access 'places' menu in main menu. I hope this is a clearer
explanation, than my previous attempt. My Apologies for that.
