Hi Jeremy, Interesting...
Tested two upstream kernels, v2.6.35.4-maverick and v2.6.35.7-maverick, both behaved as expected (link worked ok). However, in the process I discovered that it seems like link(2) ONLY fails (with the 2.6.35-22-generic kernel) if a program creates a file and then tries to link. If the file is closed and then reopened OR the file already exists when the program starts, link also works with the 2.6.35-22-generic kernel. If the file is created by the program, it makes no difference if the file is open or closed when the first link attempt is made. Hope this helps! -- link (2) does not work over nfsv4 in 10.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661499 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
