Actually I perceive now that it is not only the "evaluate expression" function that halts the X xerver. Every menu of the menu bar can halt the X xerver. This is happening quite frequently with me.
Curiously, I can go to another tty, and from there, if I kill xmgrace with "kill" only, instead of being killed, the "are you sure you wan't to quit" box popups. However, it is unclicable, as everything else on the screen. Only killing grace using "kill -9" I regain the functionality of the X xerver. Is there anything I could post here to try solve this issue? Because it is being a significant drawback for me in my work, and I'm using 10.04, so a stable release which I'm not intending to change anytime soon. -- xmgrace freezes all X-server when using "evaluate expression" function https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657003 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
