Public bug reported:
Latest updates on my system produced some kind of DRI/3-D problem.
I use open source ati driver, and all of a sudden things have stopped
working. Happened with latest updates. Been updating feisty since
beginning of beta.
glxgears LOOKS really choppy, but reports FPS of about 700-725.
Pretty much all my 3-D apps crash, won't open, or go @ about 1 fps.
glxinfo gives:
name of display: :0.0
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: No
server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.2
which is wrong, should have DRI enabled.
Using ATI x700 mobility.
** Affects: Ubuntu
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
