Jeremy, The latest development build appears to be the same as the release, 10-08. The latest upstream kernel will have the same problem because the kernel is built with CONFIG_SCSI_IPR disabled.
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/configs/maverick/powerpc-powerpc64-smp # CONFIG_SCSI_IPR is not set Compare to Lucid: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/configs/lucid/powerpc--powerpc64-smp CONFIG_SCSI_IPR=m As I stated before, this appears to be a known problem, since 05/12/10, though the "build failure" isn't described. http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=lag/ubuntu- maverick.git;a=commit;h=5c8ed50f14b1bce9b37178e4a4eaa8311468e177 UBUNTU: [Config] disable CONFIG_SCSI_IPR on powerpc Temporarily disable CONFIG_SCSI_IPR on powerpc to avoid build failures.
