It looks like the problem started after I changed the snd-hda-intel model from auto to 6stack-dlg in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf: #options snd-hda-intel model=auto options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig (The model = auto didn't work after a resume from sleep) I'm not sure if it's also related to the recent kernel upgrade to 2.6.32-25-generic...
