Hi, I confirm. I got a similar trouble. I have a laptop HP HDX16 (model : X16-1260ES) I use the ubuntu 10.10 live CD. The wireless worked firslty. But I disconnected manualy. (with the graphic way [upper right icon]) Then I wanted to connect again ... the icon animated without ending ... so I did a "iwlist wlan0 scan" command and got the same error "Interface doesn't support scanning : Device or resource busy " But the second time I used the live CD, I could connect, disconnect and reconnect without trouble. It seems to be hard to reproduct the bug ><
