Public bug reported:
I don't get any sound playing on this new system under Ubuntu, though
sound works fine under Win7. I've tried the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules but that
didn't seem to make any improvements.
