Public bug reported:

After upgrading to 10.10 amd64 and installing latest kernel audio
modules from Ubuntu Audio Dev PPA left internal speaker on my Sony Vaio
F11 laptop [with ALC275 sound chip] doesn't work anymore. Changing
volume levels or muting / unmuting doesn't help.

Tried uninstalling dev modules and replacing them with originally shipped
backport modules but speaker was still dead.
Earphones output has both channels working fine.

Currently I'm running the following version of
linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.35-22-generic: 2.6.35-22.201010191600.
Alsa packages are all original from official Ubuntu ppa: 1.0.23 (libasound2
version: 1.0.23-1ubuntu2.1).

If any additional info is required --- don't hesitate to ask for.
