blue dream, my (simple) solution is to install linux-image-2.6.32 besides 2.6.35. You need to download the kernel from here : http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid-updates/linux-image-2.6.32-25-generic sudo dpkg --install linux-image-2.6.32-25-generic_*.deb sudo update-grub
