Perhaps I'm missing something, but it's reporting that there's still 2GB
of free space. Before it was going to install, it told me it would
require a few megabytes (I believe less than 100) of extra space. Also,
I can't find anything relating to the required space in the submitted
logs though I might have missed it. Searched for 'space'  and 'bytes'.

As said, I'm not very apt with Linux and all so I'll just take your word
for it, but I would like it if you could point me in the right
direction.

I do have another 8GB stick, would that work?
