I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and IDLE python 2.6. When I type: print int(5.25 or whatever else), the everything within the brackets (including the brackets themselves) gets highlighted. At this point, IDLE looses the keyboard focus and I must click somewhere on the title bar of the window, so that I can continue. Clicking inside the IDLE window will not do the trick. So basically, if I hit "Return" after "()", nothing happens. I have to click on the title bar to bring the focus back so I can use "Enter". I seems like I am not the only one having similar issues. Please, see this link: <http://old.nabble.com/Help-needed-for-using-IDLE-under-Ubuntu-8.04-td17903673.html>. You can also read the posts above mine. Obviously, the bug hasn't been fixed, yet. I have a friend who experienced a similar issue with IDLE python in SUSE. Thank you!
