Thanks for your answer. I just completely uninstalled cups (and removed
/etc/cups as well as /usr/lib/cups) and reinstalled cups.

The problem is _not_ fixed. When I try to add a printer, cupsys is
dying.

When I start gnome-cups-manager from gnome-terminal, I get
(additionally) the following error-messages (attachment: errors).
