I'd say that this change isn't necessary any more, and the package can
be synced. My reasoning:
$ rmadison -s lucid python-protobuf
python-protobuf | 2.2.0a-0.1ubuntu1 | lucid | all
Protobuf in lucid is bigger than the version we are requiring. Nobody is
going to be using natty without having upgraded through lucid.
