This bug also affects me, Ubuntu 10.10 with current updates (as of now).
I installed mainline 2.6.36 (final), this did not solve problem.
This bug occurs after waking up from standby. Power info now shows me:
"Energy: 481,1 Wh
Energy(Design) 60,7 Wh
Rate: 199,2 W
Voltage 11,8V"
so not everything is incorrect.
ACPI Readings are correct:
cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: discharging
present rate: 18772 mW
remaining capacity: 44520 mWh
present voltage: 11814 mV.
Rate/remaining capacity are not wrong by a factor of 10! It is something
near to 10 but not exactly. (I looked at multiple readings to ensure
this)
