Yeah. I didn't realize I was telling you that, but that does seem like a fair assumption now that you say it. :)
Before recreating the bug, the output tab has one device in the list of available devices: "Internal Audio Analog Stereo", which is also selected obviously. [closing sound preferences dialog to recreate bug] [recreating bug and reopening sound preferences dialog] The same device as before is listed there now, and selected.
