Public bug reported:

The output of the external display - I tried a SONY overhead projector - is
noisy and trembling.
Changing resolution and frequency does not improve image quality.
The problem affects Ubuntu 6.06 and Kubuntu 6.10 (both 32 and 64 bit versions)
when installed on a VAIO VGN-SZ4MN, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 GPU.
I'm using the standard installation from live DVDs.
Apparently the external display is always on - no need for the Fn-F7 key, which
is not active anyway.

BTW: The 32 bit version handles correctly all Fn keys, while the 64 bit
version handles correctly only the volume keys (F2,3,4) and the
brightness keys (F5,6) do not work. The screen-switching Fn7 is never
active, in any of the mentioned versions.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
