Hi everyone an welcome to the show! ;) I just followed Rheinhards remark over there @ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/feisty/+source/lvm2/+bug/75681/comments/92. He suggested to check if evms was installed on my desktop machine and to remove it if it's installed because that fixed this strange LVM behaviour at bootup.
Yes, evms was installed on my desktop - I wonder why? - and removing it (including update-initramfs -c -k all) solved that issue for me. My machine now boots up as usual ;) On all my other feisty machines evms was not installed an therefor I didn't run into trouble. It seems that Rheinhard was right and the bug results from something concerning evms, not lvm2 as mentioned by me. Greetings and thanks for all the fish, ;) Mathias -- lvm2 hangs at feisty bootup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/102864 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
