Hello everyone. Thank you for your patience. I was not able to answer earlier, sorry for that.
Jim, yes - I still see this behaviour, if my camera is not connected. Sadly. On the other hand this allowed me to run lsusb -v (as root), so you can see the differences between shotwell running (scanning.txt) and shotwell off (nonscanning.txt). And yes, my mouse still freezes, as it still gets disconnected as can be seen in /var/log/messages. Spoiler alert: The difference isn't that exiting. It is just the mouse which is missing. ** Attachment added: "$(sudo lsusb -v) while not running shotwell" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/555408/+attachment/1708442/+files/nonscanning.txt -- Shotwell makes USB mouse jumpy/jerky https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
