Thank you for reporting this issue. This does affect users adversely,
and should be at least examined to see if the interaction can be
improved. Attempting to upgrade to both Maverick Meerkat and Natty
Narwhal, I have found the hardware Nvidia drivers had to be removed.
Leaving the drivers installed resulted in the upgrade failing.
