Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gdebi
I am running gdebi (from the command-line) with the following locale
LANG=fr_FR.utf8 (which is French from France). And when it asks the
question about if I want to install the package or not, I answer "o"
(for "oui", "yes") it just exits.
The question is displayed like this:
Voulez-vous installer le paquet logiciel ? [o/N] :
I type "o" (or "O"), (I even tried "y" or "Y") and then it exits. I get
no error.
A workaround is to use: LANG=C sudo gdebi package.deb
