It seems that the VGA connections does not work properly either. Maybe this is a separate problem, maybe not? When trying to attach a 1600x1200 Samsung SyncMaster 204Ts i get:
Oct 25 09:15:48 legato kernel: [ 179.148134] i915 0000:00:02.0: VGA-1: EDID block 0 invalid. I can only choose from some low resolutions, not the 1600x1200. When connecting this panel to the DisplayPort (trough the DP to dual- link DVI adapter), i get again: Oct 25 09:28:11 legato kernel: [ 920.293647] i915 0000:00:02.0: DisplayPort-2: EDID block 2 invalid. So not exactly the same message about an invalid checksum that I get when I connect the 2560x1600 panel, but I assume related to the same bug. -- DRM: Invalid EDID Checksum - External Monitor DVI -D not recognized by Kernel / Intel Graphisc Driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657509 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
