I went back to Windows XP on the Toshiba laptop, because when I downloaded the Linux program a virus trashed my hard drive. Same thing happened with my MAC.

Status in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Installing 9.10 for first time on Toshiba Satellite. had to include noapic and nolapic to grub to make auto boot to work during installation and for normal boot. Tried installaing updates from Update Manager and during downloads and installation would crash. Computer would lockup at times while doing whatever at the time. Same with mouse.
