Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: indicator-sound

Ubuntu version: 10.10
Package: indicator-sound-service

Using scroll wheel while hovering over sound indicator should adjust main
volume. Opening sound indicator and manipulating volume slider should adjust
main volume.
In 10.10 both methods appear to be broken -- using scroll wheel produces no
change in volume icon, slider position, or volume and adjusting slider does not
change volume.

Can click Sound Preferences and adjust main volume from there, but this
defeats the purpose of sound-indicator.
