This happens once a day, it's super annoying and it's definitely a regression from Lucid. I had it happen while casual browsing, or editing stuff or whatever. Sometimes I'm able to ssh from another machine and use the sysrq magic keys echoing characters to /proc/sysrq-trigger, but I rarely get the machine to do a clean reboot. Sadly, no, sysrq key on my keyboard (macbook).
