In the dialog "Prepare disk space" I select "Guided" where it is
suggested that I resize partition #6 where I have installed version
5.10. It is a partition with lots of free space. This is the default
selection. I press "Forward". The message box please wait pops up. After
quite a short while another message box pop up "Resize operation
failure". An error occurred while writing the changes to the storage
device. The resize operation is aborted.

Yesterday when I tried to get past this error by doing a manual resize
it ended up with me losing the partition of the disk. I then inserted
version 5.10, repartitioned and everything went OK.

So - this has worked before. I even think this worked with Herd 5 of
Feisty. Strange. Do you need more information?
