Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image
The Asus EeePC T91MT doesn't work out of the box. There are drivers in the kernel however for some reasons they are blacklisted and require a kernel. I'm not sure why they are blacklisted, they seem to work fine for everyone. The drivers don't seem to work with multi-touch or pressure sensitivity but they are better than nothing. There is a guide here showing the lines that need to be commented out: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1507489 Other people with problems: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1595220 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1601888 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1592336 This is a problem on 10.10 and 10.04 (also previous versions didn't have drivers but they required evtouch rather than usb-hid changes). It would of course be nice to get full multitouch, there are demonstrations of it working here: http://www.paxanima.net/?p=106 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei58CkPxDr0 I believe the ENAC people are the ones working on the drivers: http://www.lii-enac.fr/en/projects/shareit/linux.html Also see: http://bitbucket.org/paxanima/t91mtd/wiki/Home ** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Asus EeePC T91MT touchscreen drivers blacklisted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
