I am able to reproduce this bug in lucid. 1) Run gnome-volume-control from the terminal
2) Move to the hardware tab 3) Wait a few seconds I obtain: Assertion 'b' failed at pulsecore/memblock.c:451, function pa_memblock_acquire(). Aborting.
