I have an Asus Eee PC 1015 with a Realtek ALC269 as well, but I've been able to 
fix my audio problem. My symptoms were
* sound from the PC speakers (ok)
* no sound in headphones when connected via headphones (problem)

I followed the wiki instructions linked in post #11 by Luke, and after
rebooting, I was able to hear sound from both the speakers as well as
when using headphones (and with headphones plugged in, the PC speakers
mute as they should). The package that was current when I followed the
instructions was:
