Surprising turn of events... the libmtp which works on ubuntu lucid 10.04.1 DOES support my phone.... nokia 5130 but for some reason, it's simply just becomes 'dumb' and complains it can't detect the phone. It only works after a fresh reboot and connect. A nice phone icons appears with the phone model number. At that moment, I decided to run mtp-detect and got some results [below]. Also..for the note..the device did appear in rhythmbox :) ~$ mtp-detect libmtp version: 1.0.2
