Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: console-setup
It appears that console-setup no longer calls setupcon, which reads the
user preferences from /etc/default/console-setup, during boot. The
upstart version of the script in /etc/init/console-setup.conf just calls
loadkeys which does not set the console font. I tried modifying
/etc/init/console-setup.conf to exec setupcon instead, but that didn't
work. Calling setupcon from /etc/rc.local does work however.
The console font was set correctly in 10.04 Lucid Lynx.
This is a clean install and not an upgrade.
