Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: language-selector

I was using Ubuntu 10.04. Now I`ve upgraded up to 10.10, though attached
technical information could differ. I was solving some problems with
OpenOffice (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-
selector/+question/128056), when I saw, that all system menus are in
English (my system language was Russian). OpenOffice, Firefox and all
non-GNOME applications remained in Russian. I`ve opened Language
support, and the utility warned me, that "language-support-input-ru" is
missing. I agreed to install, but have no success, because this package
is not present in Ubuntu 10.04.

I created a question about this problem, though you can see, how the
problem evaluated, here https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/language-selector/+question/128056 (the problem had by far
continuation)
