Eli, let's be precise: suspend to disk ("hibernate") fails, but suspend
to RAM ("suspend") works fine. Or is it different in your case?

I wonder what it takes to get the attention of someone who knows how to
tackle this problem. I know that Ubuntu is for free and it's great but
still I would think that this is a rather serious regression issue for a
release that is meant to be stable considering that it seems to affect
many recent Thinkpad series and even other laptop brands according to
the comments here.

Like I said in the bug descreption: I would be glad to do anything I
could to help fixing this, but I just don't have the knowledge and
experience to know how to approach this.
