I can reproduce the problem. The sample webapps does not run until I
tail the catalina.out file. This is weird.
tail -f /var/lib/tomcat5.5/logs/catalina.out
** Changed in: tomcat5.5 (Ubuntu)
Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed
