Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: acct
dump-utmp's man page says that its output fields are "user name, tty,
type, id, pid, hostaddr, host, time", separated by '|'. Indeed, in
lucid, a sample record of 'dump-utmp /var/log/wtmp' looks like
this(spaces omitted):
foo|pts/1|7|ts/1|2055|10.0.0.130|foohost.local|Mon Nov 1 09:45:20 2010
(this is with:
$ apt-cache policy acct
acct:
Installed: 6.5.1-1ubuntu1
Candidate: 6.5.1-1ubuntu1
Version table:
*** 6.5.1-1ubuntu1 0

$ lsb_release -rd

In maverick, however, the output of the same command is missing the 6th
field! (No changes in the man page)
foo|pts/2|7|ts/2|24657|foohost.local|Tue Nov 2 12:12:57 2010
