Mario, I've downloaded the 10.10 Ubuntu installer (10-10-desktop-i386) and procured another hard drive so I can try a standard install. I can't even boot the CD. After the purple Ubuntu splash screen appears for a while, I get a BusyBox prompt. "Can not mount /dev/loop0 cdrom/casper/filesystem.squashfs"
Perhaps my download and/or CD burn got corrupted. Will try downloading the installer again.
