Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
There is problem with saving files with .odt and .ods extensions in
OpenOffice.org 2.2 to smb shares created using Places->Connect to server
wizard.
I use Feisty 7.04, OO 2.2 and I am connected to my Windows domain (not
workgroup).
I created connection to my network share (let's name it share$ as it is hidden
share) via: Places->Connect with server, selecting the Windows Share (I'm not
sure whether the names in english are exactly the same as I use polish
distribution).
Anyway, almost everything works fine:
1.) I can open share$ placed on my desktop within OO 2.2 (from file save/open
dialog)
2.) I can open files from share$ through my OO2.2 (with extensions of .doc and
.odt).
3.) I can save files on this share with extensions of .doc
4.) I CANNOT save files on share$ with extensions of .odt (WRITER) and ods
(CALC) - I get error message: Error writing document test: General error.
General input/output error.
So I created file test.odt and saved it in my home (local) folder. Next I
copied this file onto my network share: share$ - it copies without any errors.
After that, again, I can open it in OO 2.2 and: (ATTENTION!!) I CAN MAKE
CHANGES AND SAVE IT!)
BUT
when I try to save it with different name and extension of .odt - I get error
message as in 4.)
Next I try to save it with different name and extension of .doc - It saves
without any errors.
Any Ideas???
