<a href="https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.20/+bug/95343">As commented here</a>, when upgrading from edgy to feisty beta, if you have an static ip configuration in your /etc/network/interfaces the new network-manager package breaks your internet connection. I solved my problem uninstalling network-manager and network-manager-gnome and editing by hand /etc/network/interfaces.
