Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-13-generic
Since latest update (from linux-image-2.6.20-12-generic to linux-
image-2.6.20-13-generic), my acx-based pcmcia wireless card did not
power up on boot (didn't have the little power light on). Console output
during boot complained about files not found in
/lib/firmware/2.6.20-13/acx/; I verified, and indeed there are folders
named acx in /lib/firmware/2.6.20-X/, but in /lib/firmware/2.6.20-13/
the acx folder is inexistent. Copying the folder from a previous version
is a quick fix (sudo cp -a /lib/firmware/2.6.20-12/acx/
/lib/firmware/2.6.20-13/) but I seriously doubt that someone who don't
use the console could find and solve the problem.
