We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find. ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu) ** Visibility changed to: Public ** This bug is no longer flagged as a security vulnerability -- new kernel bug in 2.6.32-25, keyboard repeats last keys used and eventualy freezes system https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/668635 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: When using chat clients or anything that uses keyboard input, after a time of 10 minutes or more, keys start to repeat, keyboard input stops responding and the more keys you pressed get repeated .... then the mouse start to act the same, last clicks start to repeat 20, 30 times, thus freezing your system. Hard reboot needed, cause terminal input is also affected. Work around, reboot before that happens into the previous .24 kernel, its in your gurb menu ! Thank god for fore thought ! Will recompile kernel and see if it is an isolated issue on my lap. Cheers !
