Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: audacity

in my first session, i recorded about 15 tracks with no problem. then,
the next time i hit record, the program shut down without a message.

i tried starting a new session and this time only got 5 tracks in.
every session is different. sometimes it will crash on the first time.
i realized that when the problem occurs, audacity takes a few seconds to
pause before shutting down.

i ran audacity through a terminal and reproduced the problem. the error
message i received was this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ audacity
PaHost_WatchDogProc: killing hung audio thread!
Killed

i'm not sure what caused the problem, and i haven't tried any other
recording software.

i am working on a Toshiba Satellite A 105 laptop. i could try to
determine more detail on the hardware, if that would help.
