I've noticed this Kensington USB mouse issue due to the fact of being part of "vboxusers" group. So, anyone could confirm that they are using VirtualBox software and have included their users to vboxusers group to enable USB on guests?.
In addition to Shotwell, this problem appears on Rhythmbox so they possibly are in conflict whit virtual USB interface of Virtual Box.
